Abstract

This article consists of two reviews. The first one evaluates the volume titled "Deutsche Praesenz am Bosphorus/Boğaziçi'ndeki Almanya" in terms of the articles it contains as well as its thematic scope. The second part introduces the reader to the exhibition sponsored by the German Consulate as well as the Municipality of Beyoğlu on the German social and cultural presence in late Ottoman Istanbul.
