Abstract

This chapter depicts the distinguishing features of the nationalist discourse in AKP’s “New Turkey” through an examination of the electoral manifestos of the party as well as the speeches of its leaders while suggesting that it is through this emblematic discourse that it has been able to contest elections for almost two decades.
