Abstract
In this study, we examine how politician influence affects firms in international competition. More specifically, we use a base model in which firms classified according to two basic rights of corporate governance, namely control right and cash flow right, may be allocated to politicians or managers. We use this model to analyze market outcomes for monopoly and international duopoly. By using these market outcomes, we try to understand mechanism beyond transfer of rights and effects of diferent firm governance structures on market outcomes.
