Abstract
This is a rejoinder to the debate regarding both the utility of and the approaches to meta-research on OR/MS research publications. This debate was initiated by the publication in Omega of a paper by Ormerod (Omega 1997;25:599-603). That paper expanded the methodology proposed by Reisman and Kirschnick (Opns Res 1994;42:577-588 and 1995;43:731-740) and extended its application geographically so as to include the flagship OR/MS, Europe-based, journals.
