Abstract

ISType 2013 revolved around the theme “Stroke” inspired by Gerrit Noordzij's monumental book “ The Stroke: Theory of Writing” published in 1985. The principle type chosen for the event was TypeTogether's Athelas both as a web type and printed type. Secondary typefaces are Paratype's PT Sans and Michael Everson's Everson Mono. The hand drawn “S” was inspired by TypeTogether's Gothic family: Tablet Gothic Wide Extra Bold.
