Abstract

The conference included 23 papers by scholars from 19 countries. The papers, presented in seven thematically different sessions, explored recurring issues in corporate governance research, such as governance in family-controlled firms, governance of financial institutions, and related-party transactions in controlled firms, as well as less studied topics, such as the effect of board gender quotas on firm performance in an emerging-market context. The Synthesis Report summarises the outcome of the conference.
