Abstract

This paper explores the use of e-learning technologies for organisational learning in a competitive firm context. Based on a literature review, a model is developed to understand factors determining organizational learning. Then this model is used in a case study consisting of an e-learning program developed for the enhancement of employees’ knowledge and endorsement of the firm values in a Norwegian company. The results of the study show the high performance of the e-learning program and highlight critical issues concerning successful implementation of e-learning technologies to ensure the knowledge sharing required for organizational learning.
