Sabancı University ArtNiyet VAVCD student annual publication

This is the first annual art and design publication created and compiled by the students of the Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design program at Sabancı University.This team of students gathered weekly to develop its content, title, and layout. Presented is a variety of art and design related subject matter produced exclusively for this issue, such as interviews which: reveal Gülsün Karamustafa’s creative process regarding her latest exhibition; explain how Selçuk Artut utilizes his expansive background in his artistic activities; and, among other topics, discuss designerJonathan Barnbrook’s experience working with David Bowie. Furthermore, severalarticles provide insightful observations about the impact of art on society, and an exhibitionreview highlights works by contemporary artist Marc Quinn.Throughout the issue are various illustrations, a fictional story about perception,an interview with one of our alumni, and Dert Copy featuring work from the seniorclass. For our non-Turkish readers, each article has a short summary in English.
