Abstract

This book consists of a critical edition of Ali Fuad Türkgeldi's (1867-1935) manuscript titled "Maruf Simalar". It consists of accounts and observations of 21 nineteenth century Ottoman statesmen. These accounts provide a rare treasure of information concerning the mentality and social life of high-level Sublime Porte dignitaries.
