Abstract

In the above article [1], an analytical model for THz band transmittance (τ) is devised as the joint function of distance (d), altitude (h), and frequency (f). In [1], the last paragraph of Section II should be corrected as follows, also replacing [1, eq. (6)] with (1). Once transmittance is obtained, absorption loss is computed as a function of the three parameters as Aabs (d, h, f) = ({1}/{τ (d, h, f)}), and the distance and frequency-dependent free space path loss (FSPL) is calculated as Afspl (d, f) = (4π fd/c)2, where c denotes the speed of light. Finally, total path loss can be written as the summation of absorption loss and free space spread loss in dB scale, as in (1). (Equation Presented).
