The five variables: Preconditions, background factors, conditions, process, outcomes and their sub themes are assessed for each case. The application of the variables to the selected cases, enables a comparative analysis demonstrating patterns of complexity in negotiations. The study thus traces shared aspects of separate negotiations, with distinct structural characteristics.
