The EC FP6 ASTRONS project contributed strongly to these efforts, and as a result a fully operational laboratory at Sabancı University have been developed. In this laboratory we test and develop Si and CdZnTe based room temperature semiconductor strip detectors and develop detector and electronics system to be used as a payload on potential small Turkish satellites.
